AURktman Posted July 21 Posted July 21 My friend just took delivery of his 32KB and we started looking into it under all the parts and pieces. The body is the dark blue with black fenders and the wire wheels have been painted to match the black. Under the hubcaps, all of the wheels at the factory had been painted red. I’m assuming this means the wheels are not original to the car? All 6 of the wheels are red on the hubs under the caps.
AURktman Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 Ok, confirmed the body left the factory a royal blue dark, but the wheels are red under the black paint. Not a primer, but a bright gloss red. The trim is 2446.
19tom40 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Here is a link to the color chart for 1929-1933 Lincolns. The note at the bottom of the chart describes wheel color choices. Red is not one of them. It may have been possible to special order red wheels as the Depression was taking hold and Lincoln Dealers would like to satisfy buyer's wishes in order to make a sale. https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pages/1932-Lincoln.html
