JM Narvaez Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Hey guys 👋 I just got a beautiful 54 Lincoln Capri a few months ago, the car is a barn find for what I know, car was running fine when I got it, the only issue is that it wasn't charging the battery, I've drove the car to my driveway and it was the last time it had turned on, engine spins but it has a very low crank not enough to pull gas out of the tank ,I've had the generator and starter refurbished because sounded like it starter was dragging, distributor was also replaced since it was no spark from there to the plugs but it did make no difference, had a few mechanics to look at it,but it wasn't helpfull at all, the car still at 6 Volts and it has a ground negative, that's the way it came, any help or guidance will me much appreciated TIA
28 Chrysler Posted November 27 Posted November 27 The battery cables may not be large enough, make sure there is a good clean ground. If the battery is down you may not have the voltage to create a spark while turning the engine over. Charge the battery and give it another try. Â
