Does anybody know here how to remove the vent/heater/ac black box from the firewall. I need to clean it from the inside. That was a flooded car. I removed a few screws but it holds on. What's the trick here? Any idea?

Thanks a lot! 20240602_172231.jpg.9c8f262c87592cf412578c48e68a8f15.jpg20240602_172148.jpg.44d410d5fc333477b6648b4207a1e5ef.jpg20240602_172136.jpg.9d313c33b85cadc76299bfbf3b70ab5c.jpg

Is it possible there is just a level of adhesion due to the flooding?  Have you tried prying gently or tapping lightly around the perimeter to see if it comes loose. Long years in one place seem to make parts try to become one.

No, it is not glued on. I removed yesterday the inner fender. Looks like I have to remove the AC unit in the engine compartment at the same time. Both parts seem to be attached to each other. Now I have better access at least. I keep you posted.... thanks for your advice!!!
