Minibago
Is this the headlight style? This is the ring that came off it. It is 3/4 of an inch on the side flat. Could polish up okay.
nat
That looks like the one I bought from ebay. Mine are narrower and beveled on the back side. I'll find one eventually and make gosh darn sure it's locked in place. Thanks, Nat
Minibago
This is what I have on the early bowl type headlight. The front is the right hand side. The flat is a half inch wide. I have spares if this would work for you.
nat
That's the type I need. Should I come get it?
Minibago
I will pack one up for you this week after I put it on the buffer.
Minibago
Best not to come over right now, it is winter starting next week. I am still picking strawberries, unbelievable.
nearchoclatetown
Don't buff it yet. Put it in a pan with white vinegar for about an hour.
Mattml430
I just found one in my junk Nat but the one Nige has is much better.

Mine is not a show car, I would be content with one that's hazy or less than perfect. The woman I bought the car from said "it was never fancy, we just let the kids use it". I don't know how best to pay you and I hope international shipping isn't a big nuisance on your end. Thanks to both of you for helping me out of this self inflicted jam. Minibago
There was some discussion on another thread regarding the gasket between the bowl and the glass. I have used 4mm cotton “Macrame” cord. Just a thin smear of grease will hold it in place while you fit the glass and ring. I was playing around today and found that once turned, the ring required pulling forward to seat the clips. I will include enough for two headlights. I will send complete with detritus for you to clean (or not) to match your car.
