302 thousand

Hemi,   with reference to your 302k mile TC, what parts are wearing the most, such as door hardware and pulls, trim and accessories, and what parts show the least wear?  Mechanical things such as engines and transmissions can be rebuilt but what other things, such  as body sag, electrical wire degradation and such?

And our interiors, how are they holding up?

And other quirks such as squeaks and rattle's,  leaks and other annoyances.

Others, chime in on your pet gripes

Well, as I look back, I had the 2 seats and armrest reupholstered with leather bought from Karleen Tarola about 20 years ago, they are still in fine condition.

The first owner appeared to be a salesman or something like that, putting the first 80+K miles on the car by 1995. He smoked cigars while driving the car and the interior showed it. He left a box of cigar butts and ashes in the car.

I replaced the head gasket, timing belt and water pump right after buying the car as a maintenance thing. I was aware of “head gasket problems” on the 4 cylinder cars. This was just prior to our first time attending a TC America Meet, that year in Indianapolis. After that trip I was ready for a 5 speed manual transaxle which I installed a few years later when I found the needed used parts.

I crashed it once in ‘99. I hit a Clown with his trailer going to some Kid’s Birthday party the morning of the California 500 at Fontana, and even got mentioned on the morning traffic report. I was on my way to the 1999 Palm Springs TCA Meet. I did also attend the race, afterwards drove on to Palm Springs. Yes, I still went damage and all. As it turned out, I placed 3rd in the ‘Crashed TCs Category’ at the meet that weekend, one members TC was completely totaled, which I bought for parts later, not for my TC, its front end was sheared off.

For the most part it was just normal maintenance until 2019 when there was some sort of head gasket type failure, which turned out to be electrolyses of the head, needing aluminum welding of that cylinder head water port that usually causes the head gasket failures in most cases.

Since I had my own shop and became familiar with all the various Teves ABS failures and I had a junker ‘89 LeBaron sitting around with 4 wheel disc brakes, I removed what I needed for my TC and just converted the brakes to standard Vacuum Booster/Master cylinder type around 2012.

Just before the 2023 Chesterfield meet, I converted the rear brakes to ‘around’ ‘92 LeBaron rear disc calipers and “modern type” parking brake system.

I have had NO electrical problems other than light bulb sockets in the rear lights & the 3rd stop lamp ground. Since I am the only driver of this car since 2000, it has been driven, some times a little hard, but I don’t abuse my equipment and take generally good care of the vehicles I own. I have had to also replace the headliner backing in the hard top and much of the weatherstripping rubber due to deterioration, and I think so far 3 fuel pumps on this car and several on my Voyager as well. Oh yes, the windshield wiper linkage bushings failed also a couplee of years ago. Those are what caused me the most trouble over the years.

I missed answering this one. Though the TC is an ‘89 and I’m a ‘39, I would say that we are close to tied. The TC has had many more parts replaced compared to me. I think we are still good for a couple of long distance trips around the country.

There’s no use complaining.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate you for taking the time to write it. Now, it is my time to help you. Do you like to play online casino games but don't know how to find those sites where you can play those games? If your answer is then I would like to share https://notgamstop.com/uk-gb/gamstop-faq/how-to-cancel-gamstop/ website where you will find information on how to cancel gamstop. NotGamStop offers guidance on how to cancel a GamStop self-exclusion. The process involves waiting until the minimum exclusion period ends, contacting GamStop directly, and providing the necessary identification and account details. The website also offers alternative options for those seeking immediate access to gambling sites, such as exploring non-GamStop casinos.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate you for taking the time to write it. ❤️

Edit: You made my day. My problem solved.
