Leif in Calif
This would be a good deal if it were a Model A, but its a lot more car... you just won't have a chapter of the club in your neighborhood. https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/gardnerville-1930-studebaker-coupe/7736045379.html Original 1930 Studebaker Coupe that was refurbished, not restored, in 2022. Original, rust free California car with leather interior, original six cylinder engine (rebuilt with new bearings, pistons, rods, valves, etc,), 3 speed manual transmission, wood spoke wheels, new mechanical brakes, new wiring, rebuilt carb and water pump, fuel system refurbished, new suspension bushings, new clutch and pressure plate. Tires are good but old. One owner since 1985. Original owner's manual, spare parts, and documentation included. $11,500 obo. email: 3b9e06989de433dc8bdba16245c112b8@sale.craigslist.org Edited September 7 by Leif in Calif price change (see edit history)
AdamInNH
Sounds like more than $11K worth of work done, so the car is actually +free+. It’s a good thing that so many cars are out of a practical distance away, or I’d been in the poor house.
58L-Y8
The Antique Studebaker Club, whose emphasis is pre-WWII models, would be the club to join for the buyer of this car. It appears to be a '30 Six Series 53 which was what had been the Erskine but was folded back into the Studebaker series offerings after May 1930. The 205 ci six-cylinder was a new engine series that became the basis for all Dictator and Commander sixes through 1950. Concurrent with the Series 53 was the Dictator Model GL which eventually was rationalized for 1931 into the Six Series 53/54, the Dictators became the smallest eights for 1931-'32. Studebaker was shuffling models in those early Depression years to somehow attract whatever sales they could as were all automakers. 2

Xander Wildeisen
Good looking car.
suchan
Sharp. Amazing it hasn't sold. Scarcely Model A money for a lot more car. Replace the tires, put a new interior on the calendar, good to go. And you gotta love 40-year ownership. No turn-and-burn here. If we still lived in Dayton NV, I'd be giving this a hard look.
Leif in Calif
Sure seems like a deal to me! Fossil
I don’t see how this can stay unsold at this price for much longer. Should be a lot of good miles in it.
