Beautiful 1956 Olds two-door hardtop, Rocket 98. A complete car with visor and fender skirts. Includes extra radio and extra set of wide black wall tires if you want to make the switch. The car runs and drives and was recently serviced to include a new electric fuel pump. This was my Dad's daily drive for many years, and has been in covered storage for the last 13 years. Electric windows work, but the passenger door does not open. I just haven't made it that far on minor repairs. Some surface rust that you can see in the pictures, and the driver side floor in front of the driver seat is soft but complete. There aren't a lot of these beautiful old cruisers left at a reasonable price and this one is in very good condition compared to what I see many car show. Text or a telephone call is the best way to reach me anytime up till 9 PM. If I don't respond right away I'll try to get back to you within 24 hours. I don't need help selling the car. Thanks for looking.

I really like this car and I am familiar with them as I have owned two '55s. It is rare to see a two door 98 come up for sale that hasn't been abused IMO. I do not know if the price is right as the car does need paint, chrome and interior, but this is the top-of-the-line car, with all of the options including AC (probably doesn't work). I would think that AC would be a necessity in New Mexico. Nice colors. GLWTS.

I wonder if all those dash knobs work...  I think this old girl might clean up pretty well.  I bet if the seller spent a day or two cleaning up the car it would prompt a faster sale and get perhaps closer to the asking price.  You always want to take pictures of a car in the best light possible! On the upholstery, it's seems as though it's a pretty straight forward fabric used and you maybe able to side step SMS and get close to original look with a fabric off the shelf from your local upholstery shop.

An untouched mostly complete original minimal rust car like this is a big plus for restorers but someone still has a lot of work ahead of them. Thirteen years is a long time to sit so it will probably need the complete mechanical wakeup with appropriate attention paid to all the typical Olds 98 accessories. The original dual exhaust bumper ornaments are missing and it would be a crime to restore & drive an Olds 98 coupe on blackwall tires! One final observation for those seeking a major mid-50s restoration project: a Dodge LeFemme looks like a toy compared to one of these.......GLWTS.

I just noticed that the padded dash looks pretty good. A closer inspection would be necessary, but usually this is a rag and the paint does not look too bad. The chrome, mechanicals and interior would be a few dollars. This car would e stunning when done. GLWTS
