Crusty Trucker
Never much cared for mustard, even on hot dogs. Don't care for this body design on Pontiac, Olds, Buick or Chevy either. Next...
plymouthcranbrook
Seems to be in ok condition but for me the price for an early Malaze car is a bit much. You know from rereading the ad maybe it is in better shape than I thought with 770,000 miles Edited January 5 by plymouthcranbrook (see edit history) 1
TAKerry
I dont mind the body style, but this is a plain jane lemans. I would have to wonder if the paint is original, almost looks too nice for a 50 yr old gm. Interior looks nice but not perfect. Looks like they pulled the motor out for whatever reason (rebuild-not that bad of a thing if it had 70k miles) and painted everything in place gloss black. Motor looks like the wrong colour, rocker covers, air cleaner, what else? 9k doesnt get much in a decent running car now, so it may not be priced too far out of line.
rocketraider
It beggeth for these: Or these: Do a proper engine detail with correct 70s Pontiac blue, put GTO/TransAM/Hurst/Olds chrome exhaust tips on it, and this Colonnade would stand tall. I like it. If lucky the owner saved the original aircleaner housing and valve covers; if not they're not heinously difficult to find. One thing I do find odd is a Luxury LeMans with plain bumpers. Pontiac dealers here almost always added the rub strips. 2

TerryB
There was a rubber strip that went where the bolt heads are showing 4
rocketraider
These are 1st generation impact bumpers. They have the chrome face bars, a heavy reinforcement bar behind that, and hydraulic rams between the re-bar and the frame horns. Cars with bumper rub strips attach the strips to the face bars via bolts vulcanized into the strip and nuts on the back side of the face bars. Other of those bolts attach the face bars to the re-bar. The face bars are the same for with rub strips and without, so they filled the rub strip bolt holes with carriage bolts. The things are a pure PITA to remove for the bumper to be replated too. Best thing is to remove the whole heavy-ass bumper assembly from the shocks, and then soak ALL of the bolts with penetrating oil for a few days (they're accessible from the back side). When ready to attempt removal and disassembly, juice 'em up again and use an impact wrench set on low to break them loose. Even then at least one of the rub strip bolts is guaranteed to strip out of the metal backing strip on back side of the rub strip. So this car not having rub strips may be a blessing in disguise!😄
TerryB
As a 1973 only the front bumper has the 5 mph impact setup. I bought a 1973 Chevelle SS new in 1973 and remember thinking the front bumper didn’t look that bad to me. The 1973 models were a departure from the 1972 design and had swivel bucket seats in my SS and non opening rear windows. Overall I thought the new body design was impressive looking, obviously enough to plunk down enough money to buy new. Below is an internet picture I found of the color I had. Owning the car was another story, and not a good one. 2
