Hans1 Posted September 2 Share Posted September 2 From memory of very old Dykes manual: Remove both license plates / place a mans handkerchief between them / use string or shoe laces to hang them from rad rod to cowl / then place a wire from each plate to positions on distributor ( must assume exterior mounted condenser ) Apparently capitaine reactance was a workable substitute back them. Again from memory.............a long time ago Sounds out dated to me. #1 Most States have aluminum license plates now. #2 Many states use only one license plate. I have one that either does not work or I am using the wrong tube. I am an antique radio guy so I'll take it apart and see if I can figure it out.
