I don't have an authenticity manual and need to know the proper original color(s) to paint a '41 Lincoln transmission and overdrive including the extention housing, governor and what color the shift levers should be painted. The reason for this is to make this unit absolutely original in appearance. If anyone has specific colors, paint numbers or a supplier it would be very much appreciated. Dee

Dear Dee,Not much detail in regard to many issues in the Authenticity Manual.Transmission including overdrive unit is Lincoln Green which i believe is very close to Ford Green. The clutch cover plate and shift arms are black. The shift arm rods to the transmission are cadmium. Both the greens are available from Bill Hirsch in New Jersey.please advise if you need any more information.diz I have been told the manual is being up-graded,do not know when new edition might be available. The old one is still being sold by Earle Brown in Pa.
