john compono
restoring my 55 Buick century and almost finished but I have one problem with the rear main seal. started to leak so I took out the old one and possibly the original one and replaced it with a N.O.S. rope seal. naturally after a few days it started to leak again, so I bought a neoprene rear main seal and tried that. unfortunately it didn't last either and it started to leak again. now I have a modern graph tite rope seal and hoping this one will work. can't figure out why its leaking. any help out there with a suggestion ? thanks. EconoJoe
Old Tanks rear seal method worked great for me. If there were only such a fix for a drippy Dynaflow. 1
