Jeff Perkins / Mn
I wonder if one can source the correct (McPhergus plaid) material for this model? Rust free is a big positive factor on these Mopars.
neil morse
All I know is that you could definitely get it back in 1990 when I did my Windsor Highlander. I would be surprised if you can't get it these days. After all, it's an official tartan!
DrumBob
If it needs a top, it's not complete, is it? The interior is a mess.
Akstraw
About a year and an half ago, I was able to buy the correct wool fabric from a mill in Edinburgh, Scotland. As I recall, the shipping was fairly reasonable, too.

Here"s a 49 Could be a 1st series 1949 which used the 46-48 body style but titled as a 1949. The 2nd series 1949's used the "new" (as pictured) body style

NC-car-guy
I know nothing about these cars but I know this seller. I bought my 1939 Buick from him. He's a pretty straight shooter and a great guy in person. When I arrived to get the 39, he had a whole gaggle of friends to help me load it, AND lunch! He is a hearse collector, has some really cool ones, including a mid-60s Buick flxble. He owns the mid-60's project limo I'd posted on here like 2 years ago... I'll see if I can find the link Link: Edited February 23 by NC-car-guy (see edit history)
B Jake Moran
To refresh for those not familiar - Windsor is always a 6 cylinder car through 1954 (at least). 1949 was a changeover year - 100%. Chrysler used up the old bodies from 1946-1948, calling them 1949. Then changed to the even boxier but "new" 1949 body style. Think about the 1955 Chevrolet Advanced Design pickups. They were the same as 1947-1953s until halfway through 1955, then became the new for 1955 Chevy Truck, can't remember their slogan but completely different.
B Jake Moran
To me, that red has to go. It looks like Cranberry Red, an almost cartoonish color. I'm not against a dark red, or darker red, especially with that Highlander plaid inside, but this red is too bright.
