Guest Albert
Is there a somewhat simple conversion to replace the drum brakes with disk? using a doner front end with king pins? has a friend has a 56 Regent that needs major front brake repairs, 4 wheel cyl, shoes and hoses to get it close to stopping.. Guest
I dont know of any disk conversion if youre not picky about keeping the car original you might consider a transverse torsion bar suspension like the F & M body cars use these are pretty simple to install if you have basic welding skills the great thing about them is that all the upper & lower suspension arms as well as torsion bar mounts and strut rods are all mounted to the K framemakeing it a four bolts ,steering shaft ,two brake lines kind of dealthey have became popular with street rodders for this reason plus they are cheap and plentiful you might have to fabricate some motor supports though longramx2
Guest Albert
It's for a friends car that is far from stock, but i heard that one of the ford truck front spindles would fit the Packard with little modification just playing with the king pins and tie rod ends, was hopeing for a similer mod.
