NailheadBob
Trying to help a BCA member in need of lower clips for for back window reveal moulding, he has already purchased some clips from CARS that said they should fit, but they do NOT. Buick master parts book lists Group #11.209 clip, back window reveal moulding part #4657731 for upper and side clips (I have a AU-VE-CO catalog and they have conversion of OEM part number to AU-VE-CO # 2628) looks similar and part #4657805 for the lower clip (BUT next line under part number: Emerg. use?) If anyone has a photo of lower clip could you please post it? @Pete Phillips would you have these part numbers? I will post photos of original clips and AU-VE-CO clip Recently I thought someone on the forum was selling used and NOS front and rear window moulding clips for 1955 or 1956 Buick's. Thank You in advance for any help or suggestions, Bob EDIT:the clip that was cleaned with wire brush is pieced together and is the lower clip the rusty one is used on the top and sides Edited September 13, 2023 by NailheadBob Add photos (see edit history)

My friends car is a 1955 Super 4-door sedan Supers and Roadmasters 4-door sedan uses a different clip than other series for 1955. Bob

buickbrothers
Here's the rear clips for my 55 Roadmaster Model 72. I bought replacements from oldbuickpart.com (CARS). See part number on bag. Note back and front pic's below. Only difference I see is the hole in the center that my originals didn't have.
MStuartk
Thanks so much. Maybe the roadmaster and 55 Special has different types of clips. These are the ones that was removed from the Special. However, I will use whatever works, even if it is different than what came off of the car.
buickbrothers
Different models for the same year and two door vs 4 door would make me question glass size differences and related clip variations. Believe me, I'm not an expert. But I'm learning there's still lots of variation between models in the same year. I'll pass on a sanity check thought. I bought new side glass and a front windshield for my Model 72 Roadmaster from Auto City Classic Glass. They were very helpful. I'd check if the back glass is identical for 55's and all models. If not, which models are the same that correspond to your model and poll forum users for clip pic's/examples (see if the clips vary or are all the same). Just a thought to try and save you time and struggle getting things that may not work. 1954-1956 Buick Glass (autocityclassic.com)
NailheadBob
@MStuartk can you give us your complete style number from your body tag from under hood/firewall area @buickbrothers I will look up back glass in Buick master body parts book and advise, you may be onto something on size of back glass Bob

NailheadBob
Difference for sure, "Specials and Century" the smaller series usually share a lot of parts Super and Roadmaster the large series share some parts Excluding front fenders, hood as such, because Roadmaster is longer. Back glass shows different part numbers from 2 door to 4 door on Specials and Century's , the same on Super and Roadmaster between 2 door and 4 door. (SOME of these parts are Shared with Oldsmobile) ALSO different part numbers for "Clear" glass and EZ Eye glass (NO SIZE dimensions for back glass listed in parts manual) @buickbrothers the CARS clips MC89 did you use those all the way around the back glass for reveal moulding, and if so how did the secure the bottom of the reveal moulding? is it loose on bottom? The 1955 Super we are working on "Lower" clips look different, and part number confirms lower reveal moulding clips has different part number (lower moulding feels loose when installed) than the side and top clips for reveal moulding Bob @MStuartk were you able to find your complete style number from body tag under hood by firewall area? (Example: 554469) EDIT: parts book shows top and side clips 1 part number, Lower inner another part number, and lower a 3rd part number can you post photo of each one? so it would be 3 different clips Edited October 24, 2023 by NailheadBob Update (see edit history)
MStuartk
Thanks all. I don’t have the car at home right now, as someone is repairing rust areas on it out of town. He dropped off the clips that he needs replaced. I was able to purchase the side clips for the larger chrome on EBay.

56BuickSpecial
Good Evening, Here are the clips from my back window bottom trim section. It's from a 1956 Buick Special 2 Door Post. I'm in search for more clips so if you find them let me know. The 53 Buick example from Specialist John looks to be a decent option - thanks of the lead! Bob Yes, I purchased them through this company: https://jcaparts.com/products/1955-1964-gm-rear-window-reveal-molding-clips They're also sold on eBay through the same company but I just purchased them direct. They aren't exactly the same (there's an extra hole in the aftermarket) I've attached a photo for comparison. I was hoping to see if someone had a source for the front upper corner clips for my car (second attachment style in 55)?
