Jerry Keys
Does anyone out there, know of a source for a buildable 303 head core. Casting # is 559989. I'm resurrecting a very original 1951 Olds 98 that was parked for the last 43 years. The engine looks to be in good condition but one cylinder head is badly cracked. I am in western North Carolina. I think that 303 engine ran from 1949 to 1953 but I am not sure if there were any changes. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The 55er
This info is from a Hollander Interchange Manual number 447. The short answer is 1951 Olds 303 heads are a direct interchange. The others listed will work as noted. Good luck with your search, you have a really cool project there.
