part number for a/c high pressure switch ( sensor ) gm # 1626146 list $99.00

How can I buy one of these High side temp sensors? Somebody please help me asap. The GM code is also saying I have a history with the Low side temp sensor also. I may need to buy one of those too. Anybody know anything about that one?

Thanks.

Need to be sure of what you need.

The pressure switch is available aftermarket at most FLAPS.

The temperature sensors are unobtainium.

Both the low and high side are the same part.

Here's how to tell if you have a bad temp sensor:

When your car is dead cold, like after sitting overnight, enter diagnostics mode.

Go to BCM Data mode and call up the 3 underhood temp sensors.BD26, 27 and 28.

They should all agree or be very close to each other. If one is more that a degree or two higher or lower it's probably bad. Should all be around 28 deg C or so depending on ambient temp where car is sitting..

Need to find used. Check resistance at ambient temperature to verify its working properly before taking.

Should be about 2.5 KOhm at ~ 80 F ambient.

Very hard to remove. On the low side best to take the entire orifice tube along with the sensor. On the high side need two wrenches and take car not to destroy it when removing.

RAY, DID YOU EVER GET YOUR VEHICLE FIXED? I HAVE A 1986 OLDS TORONADO WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
