I think I still have my fenton dual carb intake for this car in my dad's attic somewhere.   It cut the mileage in 1/2, probably because I wasn't smart enough to re-jet the carbs.   So it only lasted a month on the car but actually was pretty cool when you opened the hood.

I drove this car and a ‘39 Ford (whichever one started and had gas!) to my first year of college…..my then girlfriend (now wife) called it “The Bump”.

I wish I had a 51 business coupe instead of the 49 two-door special deluxe.  I might’ve kept that car. I did try pretty hard to find a wayfarer roadster. Something I’ve never accomplished.
