no1parfive Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Trying to find a source for intake/exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, cylinder head gasket, looked on line, looked at local parts stores, can't find anything, would appreciate any help in finding these items. My TC is a 1989, 4-cyl, 2.2.........also, are any of these parts common to any other small Chrysler engine?

Try RockAuto.com, they have gaskets for this engine, though you can look for gaskets for a LeBaron Turbo 4 or a Daytona Turbo 4 in the similar year range. There are some differences between the early 2.2L 4 cylinder and the later 'Common Block' 4 cylinder which looks virtually the same but are not such as water pump, timing belt and valve cover gasket. Since you have not told us which version engine you have, I cannot be more specific. Try letting us know the VIN#.
no1parfive Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 (edited) My VIN # is : ZC2FP1108KB200412 Also, did not know there were two versions of this engine, thanks for the info. Also, looked at Rock Auto, they did not show my parts, will look again. Edited May 20, 2023 by no1parfive (see edit history)

Also, looked at Rock Auto, they did not show my parts, will look again. You made an error entering your VIN I suspect. Don't you have a 16 Valve TC? I see that the VIN ending in 412 has an R, not a P as the 5th digit in the VIN. With that VIN, you have the early block DOHC engine in your TC. A September '88 built TC previously owned by LANG, G. & D. Do you plan to become a member of the TC Owners club as they were? My TCs VIN ends in 766 and mine is an early block 8 valve TC. You need to get in touch with Rick Diogo who specializes in the 16V engine and parts. (561) 523-4684 • e-mail: rick@rdiperformance.com
Garnet & Gold Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I don't believe the check digit is correct also (9th digit). Can you provide a picture of either of the VIN tags. 1
no1parfive Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 Rechecked VIN #, (both places) it is correct, I have an 8 valve TC, SOHC (one camshaft, 8 lobes). 2.2L, also, found parts I needed on RockAuto, found under Chrysler Lebaron listing for 2.2L, 1989 Turbo, compared pics in my blue service manual to their pics, all gaskets were the same. Appreciate all the help.
