Kimrpaige Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 (edited) Hello, I took my new to me TC to a car show today at the Daytona International Speedway infield. They have this show which is called the Turkey Rod Run twice a year, once in the fall over Thanksgiving weekend and in the spring. So here I am sitting under a 10 X 10 tent, and I see Dennis Gage checking out my TC, I went over to talk to him telling him I just bought it, and brought it to the show. He was thrilled stating that most of these cars are in pretty rough condition, and very seldom seen and most people do not know what they are, he also said yellow cars attract bugs, which I did not know but he is right. I think all my Mustang friends were a bit envious as he passed all their cars up to check out my TC. BTW he knew what it was and he told me he was friends with Lee Iacocca. Here's a few pictures, Enjoy!! Edited March 27, 2023 by Kimrpaige (see edit history) 2 1
avgwarhawk Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 That's great he appreciates the TC and what it is. Cool experience for you. 1
Hemi Dude Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 It is gratifying to have someone who is a connoisseur of fine cars give you such attention and compliments on your extraordinarily fine example of a car, especially Chrysler’s TC by Maserati. It basically tells the nay-sayers where they can go. I would hope that you consider the TC National in September. 2

I grew up going to car shows with my Dad in the late 70's and early 80's and he always scoffed at most of the 1960/70's cars being in a car show. Today I still only think of cars up to the 50's as worthy and that's just not the case. Driving around in my Dad's 57 Cadillac back then is the same as driving around in our TC's today! You are quite right. You should be putting your TC out there as much as you can, after all you are proud of the car and of owning it. Even at nearly 300,000 miles I show my car, it’s not perfect but it is still here, looking good and on the road after 34 years. Everyone should take the opportunity to show their TC whenever they can. 2
