Interesting Dodge Brothers photos

Could it be a flag holder? I have one that slips to top of radiator before the cap is put on.

I guess it could be, do you have a photo of what yours looks like for comparison?

At first I thought it was some sort of compass, but then when I zoomed in it looks like some sort of filter element. Neither make any sense for where it's placed.

Very curious item.

I THINK this could be an early version of GB Truck Builder. In the beginning they used the original rear end coupled to the Torbensen with chains like this.

Solids on the rear too... I'd agree, you may be right.

Good eye, Doug.

I wish the site I found these photos on had more details but it was all very general details. Will try and find out more.

That race car is unusual, body is very narrow.

Since it was in the area, I wonder if it ever raced at the Beverly Hills track in the early 1920s against some of these racers?

Doubt it but you never know..., they built it for some kind of racing.

Or maybe Culver City track during the 1927 era.

Going to keep searching till I find something.

Simply Stunning

Thank you for posting this photo.  I have looked for images of the two tone paint scheme for late 1927 sport roadsters and have had difficulty finding any.  This is awesome.  Thank you.

Amazing photo.

Do you know the exact location or if anything is still standing?

Most were built in timber and often fall into disrepair, a lot were in regional farming towns many of which are losing the youngsters and losing their services.

Here is one in Penshurst, still standing and full of motoring stuff but no longer being used as a garage.

You're okay, as long is it's not a Ford ;)

Left to right: J.B. DeWinkeler, George K. Small, F. Bethuser, Mrs. Bethuser, and Miss Stiles beside the Dodge truck affectionately called the Speed/Weed Wagon.

Photographed in Everglade prairie southwest of Royal Palm Hammock, Florida.

Early J.T. Cantrell or Babcock work?
