Does anyone know which model I am about to buy? It has the leather trunk and the

"insert" in the top and the spare tire is on the left side by the rear door. Could this be

the touring sedan? Is it the 5 passenger or the 5 passenger sport? Any help or links is

appreciated. Email me direct at twomoor@sosinet.net

There are several possibilities, but it is impossible to give you an accurate answer without a photo posted also. First, this could be a 28, 29, or 30 - or may even be some other year. You need to provide a serial number to help identify the year. Second, Dodge did not have a model with the spare tire on the side near the rear door - unless someone modified the car later. Side mounted spares were in wheel wells on the front fenders, sometimes left, or right or both. Most years/models had rear spare mounts, including the accessory trunk mounts. I assume that the "insert" refers to the roof.

For 29, there were four model lines at different times during the model year - Standard & Victory 6, DA, and Senior Six. There was a Series DA five passenger Brougham (a two door model) and a four passenger DA Victoria. Plus there were two and four door sedans in all the models, including some designated as Sport Sedans - presumably driven by a sport! Get us a picture as I have a whole bunch to compare it with. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
