DanPryor Posted February 21, 2023 Share Posted February 21, 2023 This is the reason I torque all of my lug nuts. We had a Beatle growing up and someone hammered the lug nuts with an air gun. I broke breaker bars trying to remove them. A machinist showed me how to put a hardened socked on the lug and smack it with a bfh, smack it a couple of times and it will come off.
