Larry Schramm Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 I picked this spark plug up over the weekend at a swap meet because it was different. Any ideas on the application. My guess is that it is for a hit & miss engine. Thanks

Is that a Champion 589 plug? If it is, that is the sparkplug that I use in my Buicks. If not a 589, then do you know the plug number?
Mark Wetherbee Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 I did a short contract engineering job in a lead foundry a very long time ago and they had some really unique spark plugs for the gas burners under the crucible - many with very long electrodes to get well out of the heat.
