TexRiv_63 Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) I am trying to identify a flared bell shaped trim piece that I think is from a 20s era Packard. It is chrome plated brass, 3 3/8" high, 3" diameter at the small end and 6 1/4" at the large end. I found a picture of a 1928 (?) Packard showing a similar piece covering a disc wheel hub behind the threaded hubcap. I'd like to know what years and models this would have been used on and also whether or not it would be an original Packard part. TIA for any help. TexRiv_63 Posted January 31, 2023 Author Posted January 31, 2023 Nobody? I know there are a lot of Packard guys here...
TexRiv_63 Posted February 2, 2023 Author Posted February 2, 2023 I posted this in another site and received this picture of a Wills St. Claire showing use of the same type of trim - so maybe this is not Packard after all.
oldford Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Is that a Ford Quail on that Wills St. Claire????

wmsue Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 They sure look the same as this 1929 Packard Model 626. It's a 5 passenger sedan out of California If you need exact measurements, I can get those for you next week. Bill 1 1
alsfarms Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I know that the request is directed to Packard owners but I also know that Nash used disc wheels to a significant degree and used these trim collars also. I think Cadillac also use this trim collar. Al 1 1
