Where is the best place to get manuels

Faxxon has a large licensed library of reprints. I’m not certain they are the best, but they have a lot of material.

The manuals are for all the full-size Buicks, not specific to Riviera. I have seen books labeled to be for Riviera priced higher than the same book listed for full-size Buick.

Buy originals rather than reproductions if possible.

If for the only reason the original print is easier to read. I have both and the original is easier to read, BUT the pages come out of the binding.

I appreciate the help.I started looking around the garage and found two manuels for the body one is about fifty percent thicker and looks like a reprint I will have to look to see the difference is. I will have some parts I will not need one is a tilt wheel I think poor shape.

Rock auto has both which I got in paper and disc. Disc lets you zoom on those wiring diagrams that make me cross eyed. Also have the originals but yes they do start to come apart with age

wiring diagrams

Dundee, the wiring diagrams come in a laminated sheet with color coded wire designations. The cost I believe was $15.00 USD. True, added expense, but the laminated chart is easier to read.

I have about 20 Chillton Manuels of many years. If there is any interest let me know. I only want 10 dollars each plus shipping. I hate to throw them out. Gene.

Dundee , If your Mac zooms and you can see what you want to see then by all means use the Mac. There is no status in spending more than is needed.

I see someone has mentioned Faxon Auto Literature. I can't recommend them strongly enough. Excellent customer service and prices are good. I have purchased books from them many times.

I prefer original manuals (eBay) even if the binding gives out, because the reprints I have seen have too much contrast.  The black and white photos in the manual end up being more black “or” white, and lose a lot of detail when they lose the subtle shades of grey.

I am curious about the digital/CD manuals.  Is the text searchable?  If so, that would be an advantage, and a scanned computer image might not suffer from the contrast problem that a photocopy does.
