I’m selling off the balance of an estate collection in Detroit, and this is a general list of what’s available… all cars are in generally good condition, with some being nicer than others. Message me directly for more info.

- 1917 Stanley Steamer, newer boiler, beautiful horse hide interior with correct horse hair stuffing. Previous owner had car for 25 years and used it extensively for touring. Current owner bought it 3 years ago for $70k… selling for $55k obo. Pics coming.

- 1923 Olds touring, 4 cyl, very good original car with older repaint. ORIGINAL interior with leather seats… even carpets. Top May be original too, and is in good condition. $12,500 SOLD

- 1918 Oakland touring, previously restored and looks very nice. 6 cyl motor is very clean, wheels refinished.

$14,000

- 1924 Franklin touring, good original car that apparently underwent a refurbishment in the 1940’s/1950’s. Cool air cooled cruiser that can be driven as-is or restore it… I’ve personally driven this car 45+ mph and it drives well. SOLD

- 1904 Holsman, great original vehicle that has been cared for over the last 120 years… even has original snow chains! Definitely not perfect but an awesome piece of motoring history. SOLD

more cars:

- 1915 Maxwell roadster, older restoration and still very nice. Original tools. $12,500

- 1927 Whippett, amateur restoration, looks great and was definitely a driver. $8,500

- 1914 Saxon, very good original car with a 1950’s refurbishment. $13,000

- 1927 Dodge deluxe sedan, good original car with a repaint. $4800

- 1929 Model A roadster with rumble seat. Solid car with partial restoration. SOLD

- 1907 International high wheeler $15,000 PENDING

- 1908 international high wheeler (black) $15,000

- 1914 Ford model T depot hack, but has newer T motor. Restored years ago and in good condition, needs some refinishing but very nice truck. $14,500

- Ford model T racer, scratch built, cool piece that needs detailing & could be much better with a talented new owner. Engine looks to be rebuilt with high compression head & rebuilt coils. Could be a very fun vintage racer! $7,500

I can send pics if interested… it’s best to call me for info, just message for the number.

Jim

Hi! I tried to message you but apparently I haven't reached the required what ever to have the right to do so. I would like more information on the T speedster. Could you get back to me. Thanks Mark

Hi Mark- my email is detremains@aol.com if you want to contact me… sorry about the message thing. Also, the T is a made-up racer type body, not an original speedster.

Hi Jim,

I’m interested in the 27 Dodge. I tried to send a PM, but like Mark, haven’t met the requirements yet so they won’t let it go through. Please reach out so we could go over some more details about the car! Thanks!

I'm interested in the black IH , how much are asking for it ?

I am awaiting an answer from the attorney, but I believe the black IH will be priced in the mid-teens. I’ll post as soon as I know.

Can I get more info and  images on the 1927 Dodge deluxe.? I’m interested, would make a nice addition to my garage collection . Thanks

I forgot to post a pic of the Dodge, sorry. I’ve got only a few at the moment, but I can get more later today. It’s a very decent car with what appears to be an original interior. Car was obviously a runner but I’ve personally never tried to get her started.

Yes Aussies and car, she drove all the way cause it is her car.

Wow! That must’ve taken a while at 30 mph! Lol

"The Golden Flyer was the name of the 1916 Saxon driven by Alice Burke and Nell Richardson 10,700 miles around the USA in 1916 in the effort to secure the vote for women."

Timeline

1890 Wyoming enters the union with its suffrage laws intact, becoming the first state to allow women to vote.
April 6, 1916 Nell Richardson and Alice Burke leave New York City in the Golden Flyer with the goal of crossing the country to promote women’s suffrage.
April 26, 1916 Nell Richardson and Alice Burke receive a black kitten as a gift which travels with them the remainder of the way.
May 1916 The suffragettes report on the possibility of “Mexican raids” in border town visits in Texas.
June 1916 The Republican and Democratic National Conventions are held in Chicago and St. Louis respectively.
July 14, 1916 Suffragettes arrive in Seattle, Washington, completing half of their coast-to-coast journey. September, 1916. Nell Richardson, Alice Burke, and the cat return with the Golden Flyer to New York, completing the tour.
1919 The Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution, which gives women the right to vote, is adopted by a joint resolution in Congress.
August 26, 1920 After Tennessee becomes the thirty-sixth state to ratify the 19th Amendment, the Amendment is officially adopted and women are given the right to vote.

And I complain about driving to town
