Came across this locally on a routine Riv search. If I ever saw one of these I can't recall it. How common are they? I was never into the model type toys and collectibles.

What is different and unique compared to the AMT version is that the Cox cars (Riviera, Stingray, GT 40, Chaparral and other versions) were actually gas powered.  Looking at the fuel label, it has some nitromethane in it.  You could drag race, run them in a circle  or race them on a slot car type track.
