dodge28 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 If they go through the water jacket coat the bolts with copper grease and use copper flat washers.
Stude Light Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 On the Cadillac Flatheads, all the head bolts go into the water jacket and Permatex Form a Gasket 2 is the recommended sealant. I've used it on my LaSalle (Cadillac) engine head bolts with great success. With sealed threads, no copper flat washers are needed unless the body of the bolt passes through a water jacket. 1 1
