1955 Roadmaster Model 72 - Power Window/Power Seat wiring harness connections, and a few others - need help.

I'm neck deep in wiring and need help validating I am getting it connected accurately. The saga of some lost pic's due to a computer crash continues to make this more difficult. In addition, I'm having to question some of the pic's that I do have as being the correct wiring. The previous owner may have disconnected and mis-wired some items that I have pic's of which is causing me to lose sleep. Please bear with me on this long post. So here's where I need help:

1. The fuse panel terminal 1 shows to have both an 18-gauge Black and 18-gauge Light Blue wire in the 1955 Shop Manual Diagram for a Dynaflow transmission-based car. The Black wire connects to the Brake Warning Switch and the Light Blue wire connects to terminal 2 on the Neutral Safety Switch per the diagram. My concern is that I have an original pic that shows an 18-gauge Black and an "18-Gauge Yellow" was wired to terminal one. I also tediously unwrapped and re-wrapped the dash wiring harness while replacing some burnt/fused wires. I don't know if the yellow wire was a bypass attempt for the burnt/fused wire. The car was running when I go it but a few things were not working like back-up lights, horn and wipers. Horn wire was cut. Back-up lights may have been the burnt/fused wires. So, does anyone have a Yellow 18 Gauge wire going to terminal 1? Otherwise - I'll go with the diagram.

2. The pattern seems to be that all wire colors are identical for terminals 2-10 (two wires connected between front and back row terminals). One comes from the dash harness wire and the other comes from the steering column wire harness. The only exception is that the LT (terminal 9 Tan) and RT (terminal 3 Orange) turn signal lights are independent wires not attached to either wiring harness but are color matched to their respective terminals. Terminals 11-17 are single wires.  Two questions - is this pattern correct and does it matter which wire is on the front row vs. back row between the dash harness vs. steering column harness?

3. In the pic's below I have a relay and terminal block harness that appears to be suppling voltage to the power windows/power seat harness on the drivers side. The 1955 Shop Manual does not have diagrams for this connection. I do not have the Fisher Body book. I did find the attached diagram. It seems that I need to connect the brown wire to the light switch and the yellow wire to the ignition switch? If this is correct - what terminals on each switch do I connect them too?

4. Lastly, I can't find any documentation on what appears to be an insulator that three wires terminate to on the firewall of the car. I'm pretty sure it's part of the AC controls but would like to find some reference as to their purpose and relationship to the car wiring. Thanks and sorry this was so long.
