eyetimer Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Another low mileage Reatta, a 1991 maui Blue coupe is on Bring a trailer.com for auction. It has under 3K miles. It recently was sold at Barrett Jackson last year. Right now online you can buy an 1989, 1990, or 1991 Reatta with under 10,000 miles. Does anyone know of any low mileage 1988 cars ?
Barney Eaton Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 You can look at the reatta database ..... input has been slow in recent years, but if the contributor gave the mileage then it was entered in the database. go to www.reatta.net 1
NCReatta Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 I have this 1988 with just under 4,000 miles that we’ll be selling at some point this year. 3
Y-JobFan Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 There is not a shortage of low mileage ones, you see them available pretty often. This was the type of car that often was a fun car and just driven on occasion. Now that a lot of the original owners are getting of age, we will probably see more for a while 3

Also, I think the collecting of Reattas as low mileage started with the 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertibles, the so called "last of the convertibles." Recognized as a sure fire future collectible, many were never even titled or registered and many exist with extremely low mileage. I have heard anecdotally - meaning I can't come up with a specific example - that dealers pulled Reattas off the showroom that were not selling and stored them for future resale as collectible. Plus, they made a lot of them relatively speaking, and so of the 21,000 or so made, a low mileage survival rate of even just 5% is over 1,000 cars. Just need to determine the cut off for low mileage.

padgett Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 (edited) After 35 years, I'd rather have one closer to 100k that looks new than a 10k one. Too many things go bad if not used. Sunroof says it is a late 88. Edited January 26, 2023 by padgett (see edit history)
