31Buick96S Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) Good afternoon, I'm looking for a serviceable Marvel Heat Riser for my 1931 Buick Model 8-96S. The one on the car has multiple cracks and worn out shafts. After having the sleeves bored out per carbking's advice, I found the area behind the heat riser tubes is burned out and missing almost all the way to the throttle shafts, leaving no step for the sleeves to rest on. Attached are two photos of the piece. This is cross posted on the Buick Pre-War site. Appreciate any help. edinmass Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Might be a good project to cast using 3D printing for patterns. 1
31Buick96S Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 I want to acknowledge and thank Rand Broadstreet from Vintage Carburetor Ltd., 440-786-8141, www.vintagecarb.com. He contacted me shortly after I placed the post and supplied pictures and a description of the part I needed. I received the part today, only 12 days after the original posting. The part was well packaged and exactly as the photographs and descriptions depicted. 4
