My son purchased a crate of gasket sets and rings and other things form vintage autos.

He is using what he needed, where would be a good place to list the items he does not need for sale and what is a fair value?

Any thoughts or idea's would be appreciated.  I have a spreadsheet of what we have and we have multiple packages of the below listed.

Thank you

Mike

The items you posted are not very expensive to buy. The water outlet gasket assortments might be of interest to a parts vendor since so many brands are covered by the assortment.  If you have engine rebuild gaskets and piston ring sets they would be worth much more.  Pictures of that stuff would help.

The ring part numbers are very helpful to those who may need them.  Note the variations in ring sets for overbore applications. You might get a per set value on eBay under the “sold” category.  Forty years ago this is how I got my start in buying and selling MoPar parts.  It always begins with a small purchase and then keeps growing.  Good luck!

Any of those items might be tough to sell as the market is limited and circumstances have to be just right. I've had similar stuff and put it in dollar piles at swap meets but few people take the time to pick anymore. Buyers want fresh carb gaskets & kits. Good luck with the sales but the best application might be as a mancave display for someone.

That is how I promote a lot of items I sell. Last year I sold about 30 NOS 1957 MOPAR locking gas caps as a great display for your vintage style garage.

If you do a search on MoPar flathead engines you can find the piston sizes for them.  I found it on Wikipedia.  That will help you with ID.  The MoPar part numbers on the ring boxes are from the late 1930s and/or early 1940s.

Terry couldn't be more right - all of my parts and manuals came from an initial purchase of $140 worth of emblems and has turned into about 20 000 service manual and several thousand parts.  For one stop selling you might try Olsen's Gaskets for the gaskets, otherwise Ebay is your friend.  Swap meets still work but for what you have Ebay really is the best market, despite some peoples complaining it's a world wide swap meet everyday!  They won't sell overnight but take advantage of the free listings.  And really it's about getting what you need for free and maybe picking up a few bucks along the way to pay for something else.  Good luck!
