Acauto Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Hello, Group, any help on the fuel pump would be appreciated. I have rebuilt the pump replaced both diaphragms, cleaned and assembled all parts as they were, The pump sucks fuel from the tank but has no pressure. There is a bulbus chrome piece on the outlet side. Is that some sort of check valve? When I remove it there is nothing inside of it. on the inlet side is a large chrome nut , inside of that is solid . Very confused. Thank you
Acauto Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 Turns out those pieces are check valves and the internal flaps and springs are missing. Does anyone know where to get those parts ? Thanks
John Kelso Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 I got my fuel pump kit from Hal Houghton of The Classic Preservation Coalition and it had new internal flaps.
