JoelsBuicks
My 31-67 was a project of an elderly gentleman who passed away - apparently fairly early into the disassembling phase. This has left me sourcing several pieces and in some instances not knowing what the car had originally. I found no back window garnish for this car and found no evidence of something else being used. If there is no garnish then what held the back glass in? I do know there is a rubber seal but something has to back that up on the inside? How was this done? once again thank you! Pete Phillips
Yes, there should be a garnish molding. Here's a photo of the one on my unrestored 1932 model 57. I don't think I have a spare one, but I will look. Pete Phillips, BCA # 7338 Leonard, TX

I went to great lengths to try and find this from the family and while I was successful in finding many missing parts, this wasn’t one of them. I appreciate you weighing in and would love it if you had one. thank you, joel

Here’s my measurements, taken from outside the car.
32Buickman
The 60, 80 and 90 Series window garnish molding were made out of wood. The 50 Series were made of metal with the wood look.

However, when I look at the old wood surrounding that window, I can see a rust colored pattern that a metal garnish of some sorts may have made. See pic. I’ve got to correct this, the rust staining is caused by the metal nailing flange around the window. once the glass and rubber is in, there will only be about 3/8” of wood shelf left to fasten a garnish. Maybe someone with this model will chime in.
