This trim package on a 2-door wagon never existed in 1955. Fairlane sidetrim and chrome-trimed headlight rings are a custom addition. The B pillar trim and the back seat are from a 1956 Ford Parklane wagon, built and sold to compete with Chevrolet's Nomad wagon.  Note tailgate paint bubbling and apparently damaged rear bumper on subject wagon.

The black steering wheel may indicate this was originally a base series.

Thanks for the refresher course on Ranch Wagon trim levels, Twisted Shifter. I can't recall if my '54 has weep holes in the tailgate. Maybe those are plugged on this car, resulting in the rust. Other than that, it seems like a nice wagon at a reasonable price.

I can't believe it! This is a highly modified car. Typically, the forum's reaction would be either to cancel the post or be very critical of the car. If it were a 1915 Model T sprinkled with 1916 parts, members would be all over it. Does 40 years make a difference in acceptance and attitude? $20k is more than wishful thinking for a car that is only fit for Saturday morning "cars and coffee" or the car show in the shopping mall.  I guess inconsistency "makes the world go 'round".    Rant over...
