Steve_Mack_CT
Based on ad wording, same guy has a 56 Chevy 210 6 cyl sedan for $3,500. It looks decent vs the typical half apart project tri five. Both seem like fantastic 50s entrees for next to no money. For someone willing to do some work. If legit his prices seem fair.
The 55er
This Olds was bid to $9301 on Ebay a few days ago, didn't meet reserve. Interior is incorrect and it's kind of a cobbed together vehicle with parts from other years. Bring a magnet with you, the body was definitely worked on. Big project IMO.
kingrudy
I could be wrong, but it looks like the trunk is a little out of alignment. Bumpers sure could use some work, kind of hard to tell how deep you would be getting in with the pics supplied.
avgwarhawk
But it is a barn find. From a very clean barn.

The barn was obviously too clean. Real barn finds are covered with dirt and mouse droppings!

Hans1965
This is a lot of car for 12000 usd. Where can find a mid 50s convertible for this money that looks that good? It is not always about converting this to a #1 car. This looks like a low entry cruiser for somebody. Great find.
deaddds
That car needs a lot of everything. To just clean up and drive its gonna need to be around 7500 tops.

deaddds
The price needs to be 7500. If a guy already has decent replacement pieces he might crack 5 digits.
deaddds
The interior rust alone should give pause.
Hans1965
It needs an inspection for sure. But the starting point could be much worse. Here in Europe the market for Olds is very limited though.
