JamesR
If I was a young person wanting to get into old cars, something like this would be the way to go. Could you imagine what a '61 Lincoln in this kind of original condition would sell for? Many Many multiples of $8900. And late '70's luxury cars are cool and outrageous in their own away. They'll never make cars like this again, so it's something worth owning.

I would be satisfied with a collection of nothing but 1977-1979 Lincolns: Mark V's, Town Cars, and Town Coupes. They are so smooth to drive and so comfortable, and there are hundreds of color combinations possible each year--not to mention the designer editions. And on the Mark V's, a buyer could choose from a painted metal top (seldom chosen), a full vinyl roof, a half vinyl roof, a forward half vinyl roof (on certain designer editions), or a simulated convertible top. If only today's cars could be personalized to that degree!
