Code to install Headlight Lens?

Whats the code or secret to installing a headlight lens into a head lite bucket on a 1937 Plymouth PT 50? or 1937 Dodge trucks?

 

It only has 1 screw on the bottom of the bucket which appears it adjusts the up and down movement of the headlight.

Problem is how to get the lens into the socket past the trim piece?

This may be similar....put a blanket under it to keep the lens from hitting the floor.

Hum, here are the only pieces that fell out when i opened it up.  Clip looks different.

Yes,  I had to mfg a L shaped clip which slid between the screw area which it pushes against the round like spring which pushed the reflector up and tight against the lite bucket.  The prior owner somehow Mcgivered it. Anyway the lens is in place inside the head-lite bucket and moving forward. .

Screw is red and yellow piece is the clip with a notch which slips in btw the screw which pushes the round spring upwards and against the head light reflector.
