nzcarnerd
A photo from a facebook page. When I first looked at it, I thought - a 60 Special, but those little vertical strip mouldings aren't right, and aren't right for any 60 Special. I guess they were an aftermarket item to 'upgrade' your regular Cadillac?
rocketraider
Standard Catalog of American Cars 46-75 shows the hash marks on 1950-54 Sixty Specials, and calls them out as an identifier for that series. Only problem is Sixty Specials did not come in topless versions- only as four door sedans, and they had EIGHT louvers, not six. Even heisting a pair of rear fenders from a junkyard Sixty Special and bolting them onto a Series 62 convertible wouldn't work. That says someone went to an awful lot of trouble to measure and drill 24 holes in the convertible's fenders to install them. Then again Cadillac may have installed them. Cadillac folk will know more.
