lschwiesow
Looking for any advice on this. There is a crack that runs between my fifth and sixth valve seats on one of my cylinder jugs. The crack has not propagated up through to the top, but this is what concerns me. It is a difficult space to get into, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend a vendor that would be able to do a weld repair on a cast cylinder like this. Some have recommended lock stitching, but I do not think that would be applicable here. Others have also said that they have run cars for years with such cracks, the heat from operation closing them up, but again, I worry about propagation up through the top of the jug. Any advice would be welcomed!
