Twisted Shifter
This is the Spokane Valley, Washington, fire Department in 1941 established as the area was transitioning from rural to urban. Interesting to note the trucks were Fords, but the Chief's car was a Chevrolet. The fire station pictured behind the vehicles still exists --- as an attractive private home! Walt G
I always find it of great interest to read the comments about the buildings in the period photos/images as to their current status , the vehicles and the architecture - both survivors.
