That looks pretty nice and presentable for a $10,000 luxury car from the fifties. And a two door hardtop, as well. I wonder how it runs? Too far away for me to look at. It's my impression that WA state has quite a few decent old cars. Thanks for posting.

I would not have posted the pic of the trunk. Certainly the car has a trunk and it is nice to know that  you have the air cleaner, but what is all the rest of that stuff? I did notice the spare speedo. Why not clean out the trunk and take separate pics of spare parts and a clean trunk?

Edelbrock carb. Takes away from the "all original". Electronic spaghetti in the trunk on top of the air filter housing.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  The current location of the air filter housing is not helping in the potential sale of the vehicle. Why do I sense electrical issues.

I hear ya. The spare tire belongs in the trunk, but who carries a spare speedometer?

I'm new to the forum, but have always Delt with Fords and Mopar.  Lincoln is new to me.  I went and looked at the car and it does start and body is in good shape.  But tranny is completely gone.  Both forward ad reverse are barely working.  Paint job is ok, but was a home job over 20 years ago.  Aside from that, minor carb work and the lighting in front passenger area needs work.  I'm trying to work him down on price, but what is going price with all the issues I mentioned.  Thanks and look forward to any advice.

Sure looks good from afar, but you have the up close and personal view of this car. IMO the interior looks fantastic, I paid 6K just for the material in my car (period correct. The paint looks nice, but without seeing this close up, can you live with it? Chrome is also a big ticket item and to have it done be a quality shop......well you get what you pay for. If the engine is in good shape and only the trans needs work, if it were me I would try to shave $500 off the price and figure that would be fair to both parties. I would check NADA for their price guide.

1956 Lincoln Capri 2-Door Hardtop She's a BEAUTY!

Exterior is crisp white and interior is gorgeous turquoise blue and white. Marilyn Monroe called and wants her car back! Ha! I've had the pleasure of owning this beautiful car for the past 16 years. It's always been stored in my garage with my other car babies. I'm turning 80 years old, so it is time to pare down my collection.

I've enjoyed this classic Lincoln Capri and hope she finds a good home! Perhaps yours?!

This is a huge amount of car for 8 grand. Do these cars have no followers anymore in the US? I am stunned how many good looking cars can be bought right now for little money. You buy the chrome and you get the rest of the car for free.... Amazing. But white is just not the right color for these. At least not for me. A nice pink or blue would fit much better.

A two-tone of anything and white would look much better in my opinion.

Photos from the internet.
