1965 Buick Wildcat 2dr for sale. Runs great and looks great. Interior is clean and everything works inside(lights, gauge's, cigarette lighter, heater etc...) 401 v8 nailhead engine with 400 transmission. Bucket seats and console. Little bit of small stuff left exterior wise to finish if someone is wanting a show vehicle, but is a eye catcher as it is. Runs strong and drives great. Title in hand. No trades.

" Little bit of small stuff left exterior wise to finish if someone

is wanting a show vehicle, but is a eye catcher as it is," writes

the seller.  What does he mean?  "Exterior wise to finish?"

It looks like a nice car, but his description leaves the

reader wondering.

Accurate English and proper punctuation enhance an ad

as much as good pictures do.

As a teenager in the mid 60's my uncle had Buick Wildcat. He was a close friend of the gas pedal so I loved riding in it. First car that pulled me back in the seat and I never got over that feeling. Seems like his was red with a white top. Still like those cars to this day.

"...left exterior wise to finish..."

I thought he was trying to say that the exterior of the

car would be wise to finish.  Or was he writing about

the "left exterior," the left side of the car?  After about

6 readings of the sentence, it dawned on me, that he was

saying there are a few small exterior items that need attention.

Pity our non-English-speaking forum members, maybe more

confused than I was!

It was surely clear to him when he wrote it.  But I'll punctuate his

unpunctuated sentence to make it clearer for the record:

"[There is a] Little bit of small stuff [remaining], exterior-wise, to finish

if someone is wanting a show vehicle, but [it] is a eye catcher as it is."

It still looks like a nice car.

It has 1968 wheel covers and the driver's side quarter panel looks like it might need work between the tire and rear bumper below the molding.  It's my favorite year of the Wildcat, but I wish the colors were reversed!

I agree with you about that quarter panel, but it's pretty cool with the buckets and console with that big 401 torque motor in it. I'd just get in and drive it!

Yes! was thinking the same. Black with a red buckets/console interior.
