Auto-Lite distributor IAD-4036A was used on 1951-60 Wisconsin VP4 and VP4D engines (4cyl.). The correct part number of the gear would be Auto-Lite GE-89. I did not find this gear on any car application. Besides on Wisconsin the gear was also used on some 1951-52 Universal Marine and Industrial engines. Grandpa Carl
Hello- I saw your pictures of this mystery distributor. I havea 1966 Bobcat M600 front end loader with a Wisconsin VF4D engine, the prototype for all modern skid-steer machines.somebody put the wrong type of distributor in it and it doesn't run -very well-. This is the correct distributor for my engine, I would like to buy this one from you. Please email me directly at carljtaylor@cs.com, or if you prefer, give me a tel call 408-391-9179, out in California. I don't usually answer unknown cell calls, (spam!) so just leave a good message and timeto call you back. Thanks, Carl Taylor
