1937hd45
Any idea what these tail lights are from? Are they unique to one body style, or will they fit all types for what ever year they are from? Thanks! Bob
sagefinds
Those might be 1937era Oldsmobile lights for the 6 cyl cars. They mounted high up on the side of the body in back.
Douglas Gilmore Brown
Maybe 1939 and 1940 LaSalle, and lower end Cadillac? Check inside the zinc castings for part numbers.
pont35cpe
I agree with LaSalle, and they are body mount, lower body. Edited October 1, 2022 by pont35cpe (see edit history)
Tom Boehm
Those tail lights are for 1939 Cadillac series 61, and 1939 Lasalle series 50. All body styles use the same tail light. Those tail lights were also used on 1940 Lasalle series 50. The difference is in the socket and the lens. 1939 had one bulb and one bullseye on the lens. 1940 was the first year for signal lights so there was another bulb/ socket and therefore two bullseyes on the lens. One bulb for tail light and one bulb for signal light.
