Marty Roth
Rocker panel damage and rust need to be addressed , and may be disguising more areas of concern
Fossil
Marty nailed it. Looking at the lower door skins and rocker panels on this car is a worry. If this car has spent much time in Florida's saltwater environment the blisters that are showing could be an indication of some serious corrosion problems.
Zimm63
Almost looks like the ones you see in Havana. 2
classiclines
My first thought was: why do the questionable cars have really nice photos and the rare gems have such poor photos? Certainly makes car shopping more difficult 😊 2
roysboystoys
Is that an Earl Schieb color , or factory?

5219
This is an unusual body style. Most 1950 Roadmaster and Super sedans were the Riviera sedan body. This one was the less popular body style that was shared with the Olds 98 and the Series 61 Cadillac. I am not sure, but I think it was called a tourback sedan. In a lifetime of seeing early fifties cars, I don't think I have ever seen one of these.

I was more accustomed to seeing that body style on the Special series- not one of my favorites
ericmac
I had a couple '50 Buicks over the years, both Specials. That's what I think this car is, a Special with an extra porthole drilled into the hood. Look at the photo where the second porthole is darker. On the Special, that's where the external hood handle went. I could be wrong but I really doubt this car is a Roadmaster.
5219
Not to be argumentative, but the 1950 Buick Special had a two piece windshield and did not have the vent windows in the rear doors. It also had a generally leaner looking body than this car. This is not a Buick Special.
f.f.jones
This car (above) is actually a Roadmaster model 71 Tourback sedan, same as the one for sale here. One of 6738 produced that year. 320.2 cu.in. straight eight, 126.25 in. wheelbase. This body was available in the Super and Special series also, and was shared with the Oldsmobile 98. The more common Roadmaster Riviera Sedan, model 72, pictured below, had a longer wheelbase of 130.25 in. and shared its body style with Cadillac, but was also available in the Super series (not available in the Special series).
