Bill Boudway
The next time you go to Maine, take a side detour to North Newcastle. Stop and enjoy the ambience at the intersection of North Newcastle Rd and Maine Route 194. Unfortunately, the convenient store there has closed. Can one imagine why? 44 deg. 05' 09.28" N, 69deg 34'27" W Check it out
rocketraider
9 hours ago, jdome said: PA has Climax too. It is in Armstrong County. "Not a joke" Climax in Michigan, Climax in NY. Climax in VA. Seems to be a Climax everywhere. Climax VA is home to genuine "Climax Moonshine" made by Moonshiner Tim Smith hisself! After you visit Climax take a side trip to Worlds and Dry Fork. You'll still have to drive to the nearest state run Aunt Bessie's Cafe to get you a taste of Mr Smith's likker. Then, should you want to try another locally-produced Vajenya spirit, travel the glorious Virginia backroads to Elmo VA and visit the distillery there along with Elmo Grocery! I'd better shut up before someone says why don't you organize a tour .

DLynskey
On the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain south of Chattanooga is an area aptly named "Plum Nelly" because it's plum out of Tennessee and Nelly out of Georgia. Don
