"The Auto-Liter" made in Toledo?

Have an "Auto-Liter". There is almost no info out there on these... what is it? Heavy metal block with rounded top. Looks like the one in the attached ad, in worse condition (Corrosion, seized). Ad is pretty pixelated, but I see the word generator?

 

Forgive me if this is the wrong place, but I figure this is the best place to ask. Is it somewhat uncommon and worth cleaning up?

The add states it is a miniature light plant, so it would be a generator.

The magnet will have to be recharged and the bearings replaced.

Here are photos. Rinsed it off as it was dirty. Pot metal has some chips and a small crack or two, but if this is worth hanging on to, nothing that can't be fixed.

The horseshoe magnets can be recharged just like the ones for magnetos.

This could be a nice little winter project.

Thanks for the info. Are you familiar at all with these? I think it's definitely worth hanging on to since they are apparently extremely hard to find, have not found any more info, let alone a photo of one (besides mine).

I have not seen one but I have worked on some telephone generators and magnetos.
