Xander Wildeisen
Pictures after it was finished. Nice car, maybe just surrounded by bad mojo?
Xander Wildeisen
On to the front of the car. Engine and transmission was just placed in the car when purchased. Who knows what happened to the original set up. Car was originally a 308, three speed manual no overdrive. Someone then removed the clutch pedal, and installed the automatic cross member. So it was running an automatic at some point in time. Have not checked gear ratio yet. The parts car has a correct rear axle for the automatic. Someone removed the 8 cylinder engine in the parts car, then installed a 308 6 cylinder engine. So I have three engines to work with. Going to shuffle cars around and sell a few. The 308 that was in this car. Will go with the Hudson truck. It is listed on some Hudson pages on Facebook. And will be advertised in a couple of weeks. Get down to just two cars. Front end has a few incorrect parts on it. Head light rings being the main thing. Parts car only had one. So still missing a couple of things for the car. Easy items to find.
Xander Wildeisen
Had to remove both hood hinges and free them up. It has been a long time since that hood was bolted on. I am sure someone pulled the hood to remove whatever engine was in the car. Probably 20-30 years since front fender ornaments have been installed. Pull radiator, upper grill panel, core support and grill from the parts car. Bolt on wheels and white wall tires. This is done just for standing there and drinking a beer. Gives one the thought that you are close to driving it.🤔 it does not take much to improve on the appearance of a car. Parts in better condition can make a piece of junk look like a car worth saving.
zeke01
I bought a 1940 Graham Hollywood in Hillsdale MI. I stayed at Hillsdale college in their hospitality suites because it was the cheapest place to stay. I wish I had not done that. Zeke

Xander Wildeisen
6000+ miles, one parts car, donor engine, project car and the sale of a car. And an expensive water pump. Long way to drive, hire a shipper. This Hornet will be my daily driver. Had a lot of fun driving my 49 daily, would not have sold it, if it was a 52. Will get more done on the next trip.
SC38dls
There is an Amazon TV show that has a beautiful Hudson 4door as a main feature in the show. My wife found it and got hooked it’s called “A Private Affair” it’s dubbed in English but some nice cars in it and the Hudson is beautiful. 52 Hornet dave s Edited October 2, 2022 by SC38dls (see edit history)
