Fly out, buy the car, remove the wheels pack into 4 bags and leave the rest of the car behind. I am sure that would surprise the seller! I was erecting a building in a landfill and a fellow came in with a pretty decent looking boat. He asked if he could drop the boat off. Said he just bought it, the price was cheap and all he needed was the trailer.
Gearheadengineer
Interesting garage full of stuff. Would be a fun visit to check it all out. Mass plates but in CA? Of course there could be reasons for that, but that’s the kind of thing that makes me wary of a CL ad. The area code is CA and they aren’t listing a gmail address so maybe OK. 58L-Y8
There are a few pictures of a stripped-to-the-shell 1942 or 1946-'48 Lincoln club coupe mixed in. If this is legitimate, it's a great opportunity to get a Super Eight 160 touring sedan. This 1803 model shares the same body and 127" wb chassis with the 120 but has the nine-main-bearing 356 ci straight eight and more luxurious interior. Is there something special about the wheels, AJ? Or, do you just need them for one of your projects? The steering wheel is certainly different! I don't recall seeing one like that before... auburnseeker
Said it's being sold as part of a collection of a deceased owner. There is the possibility that the cars are in MA but the heir/ seller is in CA.
